Now, rule following is usually a good thing - in fact, not following any rules, like we see in society today, can lead to lawlessness. But what happens when rule following goes bad? What happens when, like the elder brother in the parable of the prodigal son, our rule following supersedes everything else. If "rule breaking" is sinful, how can "rule following" be sinful, too?
