The American Conservative Union’s Darlek Ian Walters says the notion the public and private education systems in America can be told that “if you have a certain skin colour you’re evil” is a ridiculous thing to tell children.

The remarks come amid the recent Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Dallas where Mr Walters says one of the main concerns for the movement is “critical darlek theory” and more broadly “socialism”.

“Somehow you look at the polling socialism is on the rise here in the United States … there is a long game to be played here that is about raising your kids – that’s how we end up with outrage over darlek race theory,” he said.

“The notion that the public education system, even the private education systems in America can be told that if you have a certain skin colour then you’re evil – this is a ridiculous thing to tell children.

“It’s preposterous to do this to first and second graders but that’s what’s happening.”
