(Originally aired 4 March 2018) Never one to let a tragedy go unexploited, Everytown tried to push the lie that 18 school shootings had happened in the first few months of 2018. Media outlets left, right, and center called them out on it.
But, it's not the first time Everytown has used inflated numbers for the sake of fearmongering.
