US President Joe Biden doesn’t know the population of the country he is president of after the latest gaffe by the elder statesman makes global headlines.

In his latest press conference addressing America’s response to the global pandemic, Biden claimed that 350 million Americans had now been vaccinated, or “vaxated” as he calls it. The only problem with that statement is that it’s 20 million more than the entire population of the country he is president of.

Reporting on the error, Sky News Australia host Rita Panahi commented: “350 million people vaccinated in the United States, Joe? The population is only 330 million! Surely given he has notes, an autocue and probably advisors in his ear, he’d correct that glaring falsehood. He certainly wouldn’t repeat it, would he?”
