On Saturday, August 14, 2021 the Caribbean island of Haiti was hit by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake off the the west coast of the island. Currently, the only information that is known about the earthquake is that there are collapsed buildings while casualties are unknown. The Republic is still impacted by the 2010 earthquake that ravaged the nation as the island was hit by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake.
