The marriage of state and church (or, public / private partnerships) is a relationship made in hell when interpretations of religious dogma and transgressions are left alone for men to decide. Absent the Divine Spark or Holy Spirit, the most unholy terrors imaginable have been exercised on lesser men through such theocracies. The United States was thus founded upon free religious expression - and this freedom was enshrined in it's very first item on our Bill of Rights.
This very religious freedom is now under assault by those who've declared government 'god' - and those who speak out against it - become dogmatic heretics worthy of political crucifixion. It is time we remove this false cloak of pseudo-scientific/quasi-religious authority, before it's too late!
