After wasting 20 years, over 2 trillion US tax dollars, and 2448 dead American troops, Afghanistan has fallen to the Taliban. The Afghani president fled the country. US embassy personnel are being evacuated in a scene reminiscent of the fall of Saigon. All within two weeks of the US troop withdrawal.
As of this morning, President Biden has not made a public statement on the calamity in Afghanistan, but he has approved a 25% increase in food stamps benefits, the largest increase in the program's history.
For the 5th consecutive month, illegal border crossing apprehensions broke record highs. July saw over 200,000 apprehensions, the most in a single month in 21 years.
