I want to answer the question “Why were we at war in Afghanistan for twenty years”

The answer is simple “The American Military Industrial Complex”

When a nation goes to war it takes a lot of companies to supply all the material and supplies to wage that war?

Food, tents, medical supplies, ammo, bombs, missiles, helicopters, Aircraft, Humvees, armored personal carriers, tanks, the list is endless.

These companies donate billions of dollars to politicians seeking office.

Once the candidate is in office they want a war so everyone involved can make money, war is big business.

Afghanistan and Vietnam are identical start to finish.

How much did twenty years in Afghanistan cost?

Direct solders death over 3000, injuries 20,000

Afgan security forces, killed 66,000, total deaths 800,000

The Military Industrial Complex along with the politicians make billions while the young men and woman in the military are killed and crippled for life.

War is big business and the powers that be are in it for the money and they care less about who gets killed in the process.

Afghanistan just like Vietnam 50 years ago was all for nothing,

It many many rich at the cost of many young American Soldiers.

I believe the only reason they ended the war in Afghanistan is because they are about to start one somewhere else.
