Adulting = Serving

Social media attaches a negative connotation to “adulting.” Sitting down to pay the bills, laundry, getting your oil changed, that’s serving. And if we do these services/tasks with gladness we glorify Him.

When I was studying the story of Mary & Martha from Luke 10 today it reminded me that Martha wasn’t just simply too busy to listen to Jesus’ teachings with her sister Mary, she also complained about doing her tasks.

Do “adulting” with joy and soon it will feel like a service, not a burden.
