THE NAVY IS CONSIDERING CHANGING ITS UNIFORM & BEARD POLICY AGAIN.

In 1970 the Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Elmo Zumwalt started allowing beards.

That came to a screeching halt in 1984.

I sported mine proudly from 1976 to 1984.
