“Do You Not Cringe When Listening to What They’re Saying?”

At the ACLJ, we have two burning questions regarding the crisis in Afghanistan: why would the Biden Administration get rid of the Critical Response Unit at the State Department that was implemented by President Trump, and why did President Biden choose August 31st as the withdrawal date from Afghanistan? We intend to find these things out through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. It’s clear we can’t rely on Joe Biden or his team for answers. Every time Pentagon Spokesperson, John Kirby, and Army Gen. Mark Milley hold a briefing to “update” the American people on evacuation efforts, they deflect and dance around questions. The men, women, and children fighting to escape Taliban rule deserve so much more.
