When they swim with us they are safer from the ships, boats, helicopters, lines and hooks that normally fill their waters. Selling seafood to China is king in Costa Rica and these dolphins swim with more seafood then anywhere else in Costa Rica. Costa Rica’s secret illegal fishing fleet is on them, and the money, everyday. Most Costa Ricans are terrified to speak up for the Offshore Osa Marine Hot Spot, because the nefarious and heinous illegal fleets terror extends to all parts of Costa Rica.
