Bargain by The Who ~ Gladly Give Up Everything to Know God

Bargain is simply one of the Most Powerful Love songs to God ever written...in the song, Pete Townshend is saying that he would give up everything he has, just to know God, and in particular, he would even, "Give up his Good Life, for Bad...", and by that he meant, that he would gladly give up the Money, the Fame and the Fortune from being a "Rock and Roll Star", what the many would describe as the "Good Life", for being penniless in Carnal Wealth, but RICH in the Wisdom of God, again, what the many would describe as a "Bad Deal"...

Therefore, the Many will simply not be ABEL to see the Passion and the Moving Love that Pete Townshend had for God, rather, they will likely only ever "see" a song about a guy who's in Love with "some" woman...and more's the pity, as the TRUE WEALTH of this world only comes through this deeply personal, Inner Love and Connection to God...and this is why Pete wrote the line,

"To find You, I'm gonna drown an unsung Man...I call that a Bargain, the Best I Ever had, the Best I Ever had..."

The "Drowning of an unsung Man" is an Allegory for Jonah and the Great Fish, or Jesus Christ upon the Cross...this is the Crucifixion of the Left Brain, surrendering fully to God, for His utter Limitlessness in the Right Hemisphere of the Brain...this is Casting thy Net to the Right...and I personally, identify with this song so very much, because my Love for God is so enormous, that as Pete Townshend felt, I too, would willingly give up everything I had, just to be ABEL to continue this Blessed connection with God, Forevermore...

And you should know, Pete Townshend never wrote a song that wasn't a stirring tribute to both God and His Creation...making The Who, one of the Best CHRISTIAN Rock bands, Ever...although most would never believe it...
