The Quickie Q1

In this video I give a short description of the aircraft I’m building. The Quickie Q1
A 1978 a lightweight single place design was conceived by Tom Jewett and Gene Sheehan and engineered by Burt Rutan. It has a wingspan of 16’8”, a length of 17’4”, 245lbs empty, useful load of 240lbs, 8gal fuel capacity, and a range of between 570-760 miles. The Quickie has a max speed of 126mph and a cruise of 115mph. The engine was originally an 18-20hp horizontally opposed twin. However a modern power play will have to be chosen. More on that later.
