Calm Before the Storm

The calm before the storm is here, I feel it in my bones
the status quo disperses, destroys old cornerstones
Devolution reversing direction amending age old ways
what once was shall be no more, onward to better days

This time around awareness wins and is gaining ground
the very depths of exposing depravity is utterly profound
How could this have gone on so long under our two feet
with heaven’s aid and prayers and faith, evil we will defeat

The rumblings stir and grow louder gaining new momentum
deeper digging uncovers lascivious transgressions substratum
The draining of the swamp is exposing all the slithering beasts
give not into the fear on which these evil demons have feasts

Emotional vibrato echoing louder as the days quickly go on by
tears are falling from cheeks for the many who needlessly die
A crescendo approaching a pinnacle is being seen in full view
for far too long, hidden in plain sight, so let’s give the devil his due

The great storm is about to brew and ruffle some dark feathers
salacious sinners in these instances cannot be worthy beggars
So batten down the hatches and prepare for the storm pending
we are all so ready for the day when these evils are ending
