Never Ending Wars- Free Assange

With the recent Afghanistan pullout fiasco should we now consider stopping endless wars? Wasn't Ron Paul and Julian Assange both correct when they said this was an unnecessary war? Why is the US trying to extradite a journalist who exposed a crooked election and harmful wars that killed over 2,000 Americans and over 170,000 lives in Afghanistan? When will people wake up? Is it even possible with the controlled and now censored mainstream media?
