Faulty Caltrans work causes near fatal accident on the 101 (starring me)

Caltrans has been working on roads and drainage inlets in Eureka all summer. This particular day on my ride home I got a firsthand experience of how our tax dollars are working for us: my bicycle falls through a faulty drainage inlet cover and I flip over the handlebars as a result.
