The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) gave full approval for Pfizer's Covid-19 vaccine for everyone 16 and older. Until now, all three vaccines were available under "emergency use authorization."

That was quick. Previously, the fastest vaccine to get full approval was the mumps vaccine and it took 4 years. And on average, approval can take more than a decade.
