WITH NO MONEY 24 hours in Istanbul

I have no money for food, no money for transportation and I don’t have any plan where to stay the night. It can happen to anyone - that you are stuck or
stranded in a city without any money.

I was always fascinated by the thought of being totally independent from money. That's why I always wanted to learn a music instrument or be able to hitchhike, in case I would ever need it. But I never put this to the test, so today is the day where I actually spend 24 hours without money in the middle of Istanbul.

I set myself 3 rules
1. I wouldn't do anything illegal
2. I wasn't allowed to call my friends
3. and no begging

This experience definitely changed my perspective and
showed me how hard it is to depend on others.

I was playing the melodica for one hour. I felt extremely uncomfortable. The police showed up and told me that I'm not allowed to earn money on the street here. But I didn't give up.

I feel very thankful for everyone who supported me and everyone who was so kind and generous to me. It showed me that yes, there are amazing
people in this world and it is possible to spend 24h in Istanbul without any money.

It wasn't my most comfortable day but definitely one of those days that taught me the most.
