Ducks Run into the Coop to Avoid the Flash Light at Night

I've had some trouble getting the ducks into the coop at night so I tried a flash light. If the light is even with them they don't seem bothered but when it is above their heads they go right in. Some nights it is like watching bowling pins rush the coop.

It has been raining a lot so hoping ducks that love rain will go in out of the kindness of their hearts wasn't working for me during a rain storm I decided to try it.
