Part 2: Control Over Fear

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling.
Psalm 46:1-3

1. God Is Present.
Study Verses: Psalm 46:1, Psalm 139:7-12

Throughout the Bible, God tells us not to fear. Fear is a bad motivator, makes us irrational. We are commanded, because God is with us.

2. No Reason to Fear.
Study Verses: Psalm 46:2, Psalm 18:1-3

We are called not to fear because God has our back. He is the Rock we stand on. He delivers us and fights for us. He is our stronghold and our shield.

3. Even in The Hardest of Times.
Study Verses: Psalm 46:2-3, Psalm 23:4, Deuteronomy 31:6, Luke 22:44, Mark 14:34, John 18:4, Isaiah 52:14

The Bible helps us to put our problems into perspective. God continually reminds us that He is present so that we can stand in the midst of fear and have faith in Him.
