Accountability

I wrote this about a year and a half ago, still funny when I read it and still true.
It's an exciting time as I'll be bringing a message that will ring true to some and mocked by others, that is the thing about truth and lies, light and darkness some will receive and grow and others won't but that isn't our problem, our focus is to remain true to the one who was, and is, and is to come.

Ok it’s getting desperate, today I actually went to the store for toilet paper and to my relief I found some, sadly though on reading the package label I noticed that it was recycled toilet paper.
I mean I was a bit shocked to say the least, have we fallen so far that now we are resorting to using recycled toilet paper, I don’t even want to think about where they get it from or who used it the last time. Screw the Corona Virus, I think recycled toilet paper might be a bigger health and environmental concern.
Strangest thing about this whole scene is that there were two security guards standing there guarding the recycled toilet paper making sure people only took one pack, not sure about you but I was having serious concerns at this point.
All kidding aside, as much as I’m sure the majority of people would love to hide inside and wait for this to blow over, life still has to go on. We all have bills to pay and many of us have families to feed and provide for, what is happening now is taking that ability away.
Schools are closing, sports stadiums are empty, business is hurting because it can’t get and send products, people are out of work and the list goes on and on. Financial markets are on the brink of some really bad shit and what our leaders are worried about is a flu virus, maybe that is why they are so “worried” about it, misdirection people, seems governments have perfected the art of focusing attention away from what the real problem is.
Corona Virus is what it is, and it will pass like they always do, but the lack of strong leadership in these times and more to the point, the lead up to these times is what is the most concerning. Government hasn’t learned a thing from the last crises that me and my family through no fault of our own lost most everything in, countries are carrying way too much debt that 10 generations of proper management couldn’t pay back. This is the short sighted view governments, politicians, and corporations are taking now, keep pushing it back to the next guy, well at some point in time we all have to pay the piper and I have a feeling that debt of greed is about to become due.
Shitty thing is that the ones sitting at the top are going to jump out those high rise windows with nice golden parachutes and the mess is going to fall on me and my children, and you and yours unless we as the people of this country start standing back up for our rights to be heard and paid attention to, no more dipping their hands in the pockets of those who work hard for a better life, that is the mentality that should be supported and that is the mentality of a people who make this country great.
