PICKUP SLAMS CAR FROM BEHIND, SODA TEXAS, 09/23/21...

Car Slammed From Behind, No Injuries, SODA, September 24, 2021 - At approximately 5:10 pm on September 23, 2021, thdriver of a red 2012 Dodge Dart, was east-bound on US-190 East. The driver had stopped and was waiting to make a left turn when she was struck from behind by a white 2017 Ford F-350 that was coming up from behind her. The impact knocked the Dodge Dart into the west-bound lanes of traffic, while the Ford pickup came to rest on the right shoulder of the east-bound lanes of traffic. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, and Trooper Nick Hatton with the Texas Highway Patrol. Fortunately, there were no injuries. The driver of the Ford pickup was cited for failure to control speed. Both Vehicles were recovered by Fawbush Wrecker Service out of Goodrich.
