In 1912, Castle Lacken Co. Mayo was advertised to let as having 3 large sitting rooms, 10 bedrooms, servants rooms and domestic offices. By 1925, it was said that ' there was nothing at all left in Castle Lacken - windows or anything else except a few stone walls'.
