Exclusive: Our interview with the Brazilian President, Jair Bolsonaro

It is the first interview that the Brazilian President has conducted with foreign journalists. The mainstream media would rather talk about him than to talk to him.

That's why Vicky Richter and I took the opportunity to visit Jair Bolsonaro in his presidential palace after the big demonstrations for Brazilian Independence Day and his deal with the State Court of Justice (STF).

It was a very interesting interview. We talked about the media attacks on him and Brazil, the Covid situation, Afghanistan, the compulsory vaccination, the attacks on freedom and what he wants for his country and the people.

Es ist das erste Interview, dass der brasilianische Präsident mit ausländischen Journalisten geführt hat. Die Mainstream-Medien sprechen lieber über ihn als mit ihm.

Deshalb haben Vicky Richter und ich die Gelegenheit genutzt, Jair Bolsonaro nach den großen Demonstrationen zum brasilianischen Unabhängigkeitstag und seinem Deal mit der Staatsgerichtshof STF in seinem Präsidentenpalast zu besuchen.

Es war ein sehr interessantes Interview. Wir sprachen über die Angriffe der Medien auf ihn und Brasilien, die Covid-Situation, Afghanistan, die Impfpflicht, die Angriffe auf die Freiheit und was er sich für sein Land und die Menschen wünscht.
