She should have known better, than to say those things she said

Said you were only half a man, said it in a tone you could never forget
Said she was sorry the two of you ever met

You really tried your best
No reason to doubt
Did all you could to make it work
It just didn’t work out

Did not have to hurt you
Did not have to shout
It was all her fault, not yours, what have you got
To feel guilty about?

But the voices scream louder, until you realize what you have done
