Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo transferred Las Vegas Metro Police Sex Crimes Unit Lt. Richard Meyers after a May 11, 2021 incident when a murder suspect grabbed a Homicide Detective's firearm in an interrogation room. Police sources say that Assistant Sheriff Laz Chavez berated Myers, told Myers he made the department look bad and said "You went from a hero to a zero".
