Obey or Resist – What does Spiritism Tell Us

Spiritism echoes the words of Christ when He said, “Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's” (Matthew 22:21). Meaning we should strive to be good citizens and perform our civic duties.

When we have a government that tries hard to be just (yes, it is not easy, and most will fail overall), then we too should attempt to cooperate. But when a government dictates orders that violate your conscience and has demonstrated a lack of humanity to its own, then actions become complicated.
