In our study, we see the God is the Lord and He gave Israel the Sabbath in the Mosaic Law. And when Jesus refers to Himself as the Son of Man and says that He is "the Lord of the Sabbath", He is claiming to BE the God of the Old Testament: the Creator and Lawgiver.
