I updated my conclusions in this article thanks to @AviBittMD on Twitter, who pointed out a flaw in my analysis. The difference in death is P=0.19 or P=0.24 depending on the test, but regardless the key finding is the 6.7-fold greater likelihood of respiratory improvement by day 10. Abolition of death looks possible, but not statistically significant. It will be very interesting to see what happens to the mortality risk when the full 290 patients are recruited.
