Switzerland: Extinction Rebellion activists block streets in Zurich protest - 04.10.2021

Activists from environmental movement Extinction Rebellion blocked the streets of Zurich on Monday, in an attempt to force the Swiss government to act against climate change. Police could be seen carrying protesters away as they staged a sit-down protest in the city-centre, with crowds of fellow demonstrators applauding following the removals. In an invite to the protest posted on the Extinction Rebellion website, the group had declared that they would stop 'once the government takes appropriate action.'
