20201006 Consolidation - The Daily Summation

You can be certain there are times when consolidation is a necessary thing.

There are also times when it's desirable.

That said, IN GENERAL, I am NOT a fan.

For the most part, consolidation means more power and excessive sway for those under whom it occurs.

I'm mostly talking about the consolidation of POWER here, but the fact is, when a bunch of folks use the same product or service, by way of example, it AMOUNTS TO just such a lumping together.

As an example, cast your eye on the mobile phone market.

Most phones use one of two operating systems.

As such, the MAKERS of those OSes have a GREAT DEAL of power.

This is one of many things I don't like about such groupings.

I'll never say, "Consolidation is ALWAYS bad." I WILL put forth the idea that it is more often than not.
