Isaiah 52:1-12 • Awake, Oh, Church! - Elder Bryce Lowrance (October 10, 2021) The prophecy of Isaiah 52 has its historical fulfillment when Israel was delivered from Babylonian and Persian captivity. But a closer look reveals that Isaiah is pointing toward a much grander deliverance. This prophecy is about the deliverance of the elect family of God by the finished work of Jesus Christ. Therefore, Isaiah is telling the church to awake, preach, and praise God in song.
