Spot on Wednesday 10-13-21

October of 1976 well into the school year and the block decided to host a Halloween party.

The night started out as did most teen parties back in the day with a hat being passed around and the sum of the money collected was given to an 18-year-old who would then go buy beverages.

Although the rents were involved and dressed for the occasion they had chosen to drink their own adult beverages and not be part of the collection effort.

Although we had hoped for a kegger the crew came back with thirty 12 packs of various flavors of brew.

Improvising and true to the costume I was wearing I became the bartender.

Looking back a lot of new relationships were made not only from people who were outside the normal click but people within the click that were in costume now seeing their altar egos playing out in a performance of the season, Halloween.

Although we all tend to wear these masks and cover up our true identity it truly is within our means to share and enjoy who we are with others that would benefit from being part of our community. #dbrn
