MSM - Based4Life - Official Lyric Video(Garage Demo) - 9.30.2021

This is a garage demo version of my original song “MSM”. The song is about the lies and manipulation of the US mainstream corporate media. The media is supposed to act as the 4th branch of the government that acts as a check against the 3 actual branches. As long as I have been alive the media acts in the interest of corporations and the corrupt politicians writing laws to favor the corporations. Capitalism and corporations are not inherently evil, but like most things can be corrupted to only benefit those in the “club”. One thing we all forget is that individual citizens hold all the power. We forget that because the machine seems too powerful to stand up against. How can one individual make a difference? The first step is to stop watching the programs and cancel your tv subscription that funds these corporations. If you don’t watch, they lose advertising revenue, if you don't pay the subscription, they lose their broadcasting revenue. After you do that, tell everyone you know what you did and why, if enough people interrupt their revenue stream it will cause these mainstream outlets to either go bankrupt, or change their reporting to try to recapture their audience. This may seem insignificant, but in large numbers it could actively change the media system in our country. To quote PV “be brave, do something” the worst thing you can do is nothing.
