Sobbing Animal Lover, 10, Refuses To Let Mum Cut Crabs Claw Off After It Nabs His Finger

This footage shows a young boy sobbing after a crab got hold of his finger with its pincers as he refuses to let his mum cut the claw off because he loves animals.

The incident took place in the city of Weihai, which is located in Shandong, a coastal province that looks out onto the Pacific Ocean in north-eastern China, on 2nd October.

The young boy, who has not been named but who is aged 10, reportedly refused to let his mum cut the crab's pincer off because he loves animals and decided that the crustacean just needed a "cooling off period".

Local media reported that the young boy was willing to go through the pain and suffering that tends to occur when a crab gets a hold of a person's digit because he did not want to hurt it.

So instead of mutilating the sea creature, he decided to pour some water on it but by the time the footage ends, his finger is still trapped in the crab's pincer.

Reports said that eventually the crab let go and the boy only suffered superficial injuries to his left index finger.

It is unclear what kind of crab it was and how it attached itself to the boy’s finger.
