Mehrere italienische Gewerkschaften und antifaschistische Gruppen versammelten sich am Samstag, den 16. Oktober, in Rom, um einen von der offenbar rechtsextremen Partei Forza Nuova angeführten Protest gegen die Beschränkungen zu verurteilen, die zur Eindämmung der Ausbreitung von COVID-19 am vergangenen Samstag, den 9. Oktober, verhängt wurden. Die Teilnehmer an dieser Demonstration waren mit der Polizei aneinandergeraten, hatten Vandalismus begangen und den Sitz des Allgemeinen Italienischen Gewerkschaftsbundes (CGIL) gestürmt.

Several Italian labour unions and anti-fascist groups gather in Rome on Saturday, October 16, to denounce a protest led by what appeared to be the far-right party Forza Nuova against restrictions imposed to curb the spread of COVID-19, which took place last Saturday, October 9. Participants at that protest clashed with police, committed acts of vandalism, and stormed into the headquarters of the Italian General Confederation of Labour​ (CGIL). ​

Varios sindicatos italianos y grupos antifascistas se reunieron en Roma el sábado 16 de octubre para denunciar una protesta encabezada por lo que parecía ser el partido de extrema derecha Forza Nuova contra las restricciones impuestas para frenar la propagación del COVID-19, que tuvo lugar el pasado sábado 9 de octubre. Los participantes en esa protesta se enfrentaron a la policía, cometieron actos de vandalismo e irrumpieron en la sede de la Confederación General Italiana del Trabajo (CGIL).
