There will always be pretenders

In the parable of the soils Jesus reveals His method of sharing truth and the typical responses expected from those who hear the Truth. Only 25% of those who hear the Gospel believe and stay true to Him. Of the 25% only 8% give it all they got. Expect people to fall away from Christ, 75% will not enter the Kingdom of heaven who have heard the Gospel.
