Ducks are a group of water birds from the Anatidae family. This family has a characteristic in the form of adaptation adapted to its life in the waters.

For example, duck feet have a wide shape with webbing between the toes. This foot shape is an adaptation so that ducks can use their feet to paddle on the surface of the water, swim in the water, and walk on muddy water.

In addition, the shape of the duck's beak is wide, which is an adaptation for catching and eating aquatic animals, such as fish and worms.

Like Aves or other bird species, ducks are characterized by 4 chambers or parts of the heart, namely the left atrium, right atrium, left ventricle and right ventricle. Therefore, dirty blood and clean blood (oxygen rich) are not mixed. This causes birds to be warm-blooded and can regulate their own body temperature.

Birds including ducks have a reproductive system by laying eggs (oviparous). Fertilization occurs through internal fertilization (internal fertilization).
