What is a Day?

Many Christians attempt to reconcile the billions of years of evolutionary science with the Biblical chronology of the creation account by reinterpreting what the definition of a "day" (Hebrew - "Yom") is. This reinterpretation of the definition of "day", as used in Genesis 1, is the root of the controversy between an old and a young age view of the earth.

Most early church fathers accepted the days of creation as ordinary days. The “non-literal” interpretation of “day” by many of todays pastors and church leaders is a result of extra-biblical influences (indoctrination from evolutionary scientists), not from the words of the Bible.

This lecture will explore the Hebrew definition of "day" as recorded within the proper context of Genesis chapter 1. We will see that the Bible says about what a day is.
