Clapperboards have been an integral part of movie production since the invention of the Clapperboard in the 1920s. Now, there is an Android App that digitally duplicates a physical Clapperboard. The Clapperboard is used to identify each film clip. Also, the sound that the Clapperboard makes, when you slate a Clapperboard, can be used to sync external audio with the video camera audio, as well as syncing videos when filming with multiple cameras.
