Interview with John Foster part 1

John Foster has taught at university in Japan for over 25 years. During that time, he conducted research on religion and culture, specializing in local kami belief. He has produced a well received film series in Japanese on the Rice Kami, known in as Tanokansa.

His English language film and upcoming monograph series on the Mountain Kami and Tanokansa reveal aspects of Japanese religion rarely seen outside of rural Japan.
