HOPE! MIGHTY TESTIMONIES!! THE BLIND RECEIVE THEIR SIGHT!!! This is what God did across the nation in the 1970’s in what is now remembered as The Jesus Movement! One day, hippies were consumed with sex, drugs, and rock and roll, and the next it was nothing but JESUS! Culture was a mess, but the Love of Jesus Christ was changing every imaginable life in every way. In that day, many people were in the “hippie crowd”, living for the moment, looking for the next hit of whatever drug was being passed around the circle. THEN GOD! They got hooked on Jesus!!! The Author and Finisher, Himself. Those that the world looked over, Jesus was consumed with His passionate love for. One of those hippies, Lonnie Frisbee, got mightily touched by the love of Jesus Christ and was forever changed.
It was the 1970s. It was Southern California. The conversation on every tongue was Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. Time Magazine chronicled this mighty outpouring by dedicating their 1971 front cover as THE JESUS REVOLUTION! No building could contain the hunger for the presence of the Lord, or even what the Holy Ghost might do next. Crowds were gathering to hear the Gospel. Crowds were gathering at the ocean to follow Jesus in water baptism. Every where Lonnie Frisbee shared the Gospel, the Holy Ghost would powerfully transform lives. It was only a matter of time before this firebrand for God took the message of the Gospel across the ocean to Sweden to continue the message of Jesus Christ. To this day, the fruit of Holy Spirit that moved through Lonnie Frisbee and so many others continues on, changing lives, and reaching hearts with the love of Jesus Christ. Let your hunger be stirred, and your expectations for God to do something powerful and mighty in your life right now. The Lord did an indescribable mighty work then, and He is about to do it on steroids. GET READY!
