Engagement! Engagement! Engagement! According to Tristan Harris, creator of the documentary “The Social Dilemma”, social media is always driven by one thing: user engagement. It doesn’t really matter what that engagement looks like or what that engagement causes. The engines keep running and deranging society. The people behind YouTube and Facebook know it. And yet we keep going. What’s it doing to us? My song “Maniac!” and it’s lyric video attempt to bring light to that question. When I understood this, I killed my avatars. What will you do?
