Our Rising Heroes of Freedom

Who are these Protesters who turn up constantly risking arrest and fines as they speak and lead the chants before the wall of police?
Why are they compelled to return despite the lack of numbers?
Why are they so generous with the loudspeaker, inviting anyone to speak?
Why do they call each other brother and sister?
They now know the words of the Australian Anthem and can sing it with gusto.
They bring signs and banners and make jokes about the camps the Government is building.
Camps that this new legislation they are protesting against, might see them residing in for up to two years, simply for defiantly standing here in the shade of our parliament house asking,
“What do we want?’
Freedom!
When do we want it?
Now!

Who are they? Well why not meet them?
