I take a look at a couple more "true crime documentary" pieces of family infotainment, flrst briefly the 2020 Netflix film American Murder but then more deeply the 2003 HBO film Capturing the Friedmans. The lesson of course is that you have to look deeply into the socio-politics underlying the making of such films.
