Probably the best locomotive prime mover design in history canceled by government regulations indirectly as now all of the tier one railroads will be four stroke as soon as they can. Funny thing is VERY few of the "period" four stroke designs get passed down to the short lines but a LOT of the 1960's and 1970's era EMD two strokes are still hauling freight.
