Glenn Youngkin & Terry McAuliffe Virginia Governorship Election Comes Down to the Wire

On the final day of the campaign trail, Glenn Youngkin holds a small lead over former Governor Terry McAuliffe in the highly anticipated Virginia Gubernatorial Election; it's not hard to see why that's the case either.

Adopting the Biden strategy, McAuliffe switched his campaigning plans at the last minute to ditch a previously scheduled even in order to tend to another, more pressing constituency. Youngkin meanwhile, is telling people what he will be doing once he gets elected, if that likely scenario manifests itself.

This election might seem inconsequential in the grand scheme, but it is the first major election that is essentially a referendum on the policies of Joe Biden in contrast to those of Donald Trump. Both candidates have allied themselves with the 2020 General Election candidates, and could both face similar fate if everything's the same. No reason to believe that's going to be the case, as Biden is getting destroyed in the public approval sphere. Sucks to suck.
