The Screech Owl Chicks have fledged and the Owl family has left the box since they have no reason to stay indoors during the summer, but nature abhors a vacuum, and it didn't stay empty for long.

Here this female Northern Flicker looks like she has something to defend, and she seriously reacts to possible threats that wouldn't normally make her that paranoid if she only needed to worry about herself.
