in this study we look at how God had set up a nation, by a promise for his people to live. this nation is Israel and within it there were divisions made unto each of the tribes of Israel/ Jacob's sons. 2 sections given to the favored son, Joseph for his two sons Ephraim & Manasseh. through this story we learn how that God commanded them to drive out the people that worshiped other Gods. of course they did not and feel into sin, just as believers today often fail to drive out the things that are opposed of God.
